Our client a well known and successful organisation within Higher Education are looking to recruit an Higher Education Administrator, start ASAP, duration 2 months, pay £16.84ph.

**Suitable candidates must have worked around Curriculum before, either as a Departmental Administrator, in an Educational team capacity or within a Quality Assurance role**

The role is part of the College's Student Information Management Programme (SIMP) working on the Academic Model Project. The post holder will work with the College Departments to capture, translate and build programme information into the new student system Banner by Ellucian. This role is critical in delivering the SIMP vision of an excellent student and staff experience; empowered staff; and integrated systems. This activity will provide the College with the single source of truth for the student academic lifecycle and transform business processes and provide improvements to the student and staff experience. The post holder will work closely with Registry colleagues, academic departments and SIMP Project Team.

Key Responsibilities

The main duties of the post will include:

Analysis, Reporting & Documentation

* Proof-read information provided by departments ensuring information is presented in the required format; where possible using existing data sources and information to verify information provided.
* Clear understanding of the regulatory framework for higher education qualifications in the UK and how they are applied at the college.
* Capture existing programme structures and support the translation into the new student system Banner templates identifying benefit realisation and gaps within Departmental operations.
* Develop and become an experienced user in new student system Banner for the College.
* Support the testing of programme and module information imported or built in the new student system Banner
* Maintain a clear and accurate log of work completed to ensure progress can be tracked and audited.
* Compile progress reports for stakeholders at various levels across the College.



Planning & Organising

* Provide input into the organisation of the Departmental engagement planning and structuring individual sessions.
* Update the project team with progress against the project plan.
* Apply different planning approaches to meet the needs and accommodate the variations in Departmental structures at the college.
* Use existing information sources to research, understand and map programme structures.



Finance/Resource Management

* Provide administrative support to members of the project including room booking, note taking at meetings and drafting documents.

Liaison

* Act as a point of contact for queries related to the programme data collection process for relevant departments.
* Working closely Department stakeholders both Academic and Professional Services colleagues who will vary depending on structure of the Departments.
* Working with the project team, colleagues from the prorgamme management, ICT and the system supplier Ellucian.
* Working with Registry colleagues and academic departments, to update or produce accurate, consistent and definitive records of the College's programme information.

Other Duties

* Act in a flexible, proactive way, supporting colleagues across the team as necessary during times of peak activity, annual leave etc.
* Keep skills and knowledge up-to-date and develop expertise in the key areas of the role
* Improve professional capability and expertise through appropriate development and professional activity.
* Assisting with general College duties when deemed necessary (i.e. College Awards Ceremonies, College Open Days, etc.).
* Where appropriate, to support the work of College Committees, working groups and other ad-hoc meetings as requested.
* Other administrative and clerical duties within Registry as directed by senior staff.
