Our client a well known organisation are looking to recruit a Warehouse Team Leader . Duration 6 months. Salary £27,190 per annum.

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of this role is to effectively manage and maintain the main Receipting point and Stores Facility within the Chemistry Department and the Translation & Innovation Hub Building at White City Campus. The Team Leader will be expected to provide an excellent service to its customers which will include building users across the White City Campus.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Procedures:

* The management and organisation of the goods in and stores area within the Chemistry and Translation and Innovation Hub serving multiple users.
* The management and planning of timed deliveries to ensure the smooth flow of goods and materials into and around the main White City buildings to ensure their timely delivery to end-users.
* The management and control of consignment stock from third-party suppliers held in the Chemistry stores including working with suppliers to service stock held in vending machines.
* To maintain the general appearance and upkeep of the stores area.
* To manage and conduct frequent stock takes to ensure appropriate stock levels are maintained and stock protected.
* Assessing priorities & allocating work to staff.
* Ensuring staff have access to the correct equipment to carry out their tasks.
* Ensuring the service is resourced at all times between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 Monday to Friday.
* Acceptance of all goods delivered that clearly refers to an official purchase order number for College and any non-purchase orders for the Translation & Innovation Hub.
* Checking that packages received correspond with the number delivered, care being taken to ensure that all packages are in a good condition.
* Providing a clear signature, name and date to the driver/courier, stamping all relevant documents and circling the number of packages signed for.
* Ensuring goods are checked for special storage conditions.
* Entering or checking receipt information on the College system and other systems as required.
* Investigating and dealing with incorrect or damaged goods received and contacting end users and suppliers.
* To organise the return of goods as required.
* To report defects, repairs and maintenance issues and ensure repair work is carried out to the goods in and stores area.
* To investigate and report any failure of service to management and what actions if any were taken to rectify it.
* To liaise with all users regarding the provision of services.
* To ensure all deadlines regarding deliveries and collections are met.
* Investigation of poorly and incorrectly addressed items and establishing ownership.
* Monitoring and improving procedures for deliveries within College buildings.
* To provide a courteous and efficient service to all end users.
* To assist in identifying areas of customer service where improvements can be made and helping to implement solutions.
* To act as the first point of contact for senior members of staff providing effective communication with other team members, staff, service users and external contacts.

Management:
* To be responsible for the management and development of the team and ensuring the provision of an effective service to all end users.
* To plan staffing schedules in accordance with operational demands, ensuring most efficient use of resources.
* Provide on-the-job guidance to others as an experienced team member.
* Plan staff training, conduct monthly team meetings, one to one, and annual PRDP meetings.
* Ensure operational targets and KPIs are met
