Purpose:

To support the delivery of the New Equipment Sales targets and goals by taking responsibility for all incoming Tender and General pricing Enquiries

To value engineer and competitively price our proposal in collaboration with relevant Industrial Division as and where relevant

To develop sound business relationships with Main Contractors/End Users/Specifiers/Quantity Surveyors with aim of establishing repeat business and repeat opportunity to quote wherever automatic doors are specified or required.



Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities



Tender Enquiry Handling

To be responsible for the day to day handling of all incoming tender enquiries in allocated region/s, general enquiries and requests for information from end users, contractors, quantity surveyors, specifiers and architects

To manage the enquiry folder to ensure that all enquiries are responded to within the time frame set by the customer

Maintain a Regional tracker/s

As and where appropriate establish meeting for B.D. as an outcome of above incoming enquiries

To adapt approach to all tenders dependant on the form of contract applicable, ensuring that we are Quoting to Win at all times

To issue accurate and timely proposal containing documentation relevant to each quotation

To work with specific business developers to qualify & prioritise enquiries for quoting and establish who will be responsible for quote follow up.



Order Processing

To manage the commercial aspects of all new orders before issuing to Operations for onward processing

This includes finalisation of all required and pre-defined information, e.g.:

credit approval/securement of payment up front where required

finalisation and clarification of specification to ensure fit for purpose and reflecting customer's needs

issue Order Acknowledgement and Project Order Form/Simplification of Terms document upon receipt of all new incoming orders for completion by the customer

finalisation of all sub-contract terms and conditions as and where necessary (in conjunction with ISM)

confirmation of realistic and accurate install date, where possible

administration of subcontract order documentation

all information to be uploaded onto the relevant project folder within the digital archive on Isac



CRM

Ensure that all relevant fields are accurately completed at all times for tender enquiry handling and order processing, to ensure that management data required by the business can be fulfilled

To continuously work on improving the way in which we use CRM within Internal Sales



Relationship Building

Ensure good working relationships at all times with both internal and external based teams within Sales, Service and Operations.

To establish sound working relationships with our existing and new main contractor, end user, quantity surveyor and specifier customers

To manage & maintain customer relationships, ensuring that our customers are kept fully abreast of the status of their enquiry/order, identifying customer issues and taking action appropriately to ensure customer satisfaction

To provide technical telephone and written support to all incoming enquiries with minimal referral to others



General

To achieve personal KPI's

To support and internally mirror the efforts of the B.D. in his region

To carry out additional tasks from time to time as required by the business, for example completion of PQQ's, conversion of proposal to order, trawling for new business

To travel from time to time with the relevant B.D. to expand knowledge of the industry/marketplace, to meet major specifier customers and to attend relevant face-to-face tender meetings to help secure project



Knowledge/Skills/Experience

Customer focused

Highly numerate and articulate with good communication and telephone/customer facing skills

Previous experience in a technical estimating position; ability to absorb, under
