Our client are an unique law enforcement organisation which both investigates and prosecute the most serious economic crime. They are looking to recruit a Senior Facilities & Commercial Manager to start ASAP, duration 6 months, pay £16.61ph.

In this role the candidate will play a key part in delivering Facilities Management and Accommodation services to the organisation. You will assist with the implementation of Facilities Management (FM) and providing safe, sustainable efficient and effective accommodation and services that are fit for purpose. You will hold responsibility of carryout of the day to day requirements and tasks of accommodation projects, Contract Management of day to day performance of FM suppliers and reporting performance issues to Head of Commercial. Assist with supplier performance reviews and help to manage customer's expectations.

Principal responsibilities:

* Assist with planning and implementation of office accommodation and services in line with strategic decisions. This includes requirements for improving flexible working, and assisting with option appraisals as the departments requirements change. Assisting the project manager, in planning and implementation of minor works projects ensuring that the FM team keep up to date records for floor layouts and building services. Supporting with the implementation of the agreed accommodation plans which will involve negotiation with both internal staff and external contractors. Ensuring that contractors provide the necessary documentation to meet their Health and Safety obligations.

* Responsible for providing first line support to the switchboard and the FM helpdesk, providing general advice and guidance.

* Seeking ways to improve communications and updates to staff. Supporting day to day contract management for all central FM contracts, ensuring that service levels are met and quality standards are maintained along with achieving value for money throughout the life of the contract.

* Supporting day to day management of building maintenance issues to the landlord and the managing agents. Acting as the escalation point for the Managing Agents on FM and building management issues.

* Assisting with the preparation of specifications, supplier performance reports and documents for a range of contracts and projects.

* Assisting with the implementation of working methods for new legislation and its impact on working methods. Ensuring that the Health and Safety policy is updated in line with current legislation and that the department meets all its obligations to staff e.g. DSE assessment, fire marshal training, Health and Safety committee etc.

* Assist with the implementation of sustainable development policies into FM contracts in order to meet targets set and providing data for GGC and other central government returns.

* Assisting with the processing of order invoices, checking that goods or services meet the level that was ordered. Assisting with the provision of data for responses to FOI's and PQ's.

* Expected to work out of hours (evenings and weekends paid overtime) and from alternative locations in London.

* If required to provide support for contract and counsel instruction.
