Software Sales Executive - GIS Software - Max £50k Basic, £100k OTE - Brentford, Greater London

Salary: £27,000 - £50,000 Basic, £54k - £100k OTE plus full benefits package
Location: Brentford, Greater London


This is a leading supplier of map-based (GIS) software solutions. No, GoogleMaps are no competition, don't worry! We're talking solutions around vehicle routing, scheduling and optimisation, supply chain network distribution planning, that kind of thing. They are now seeking further salespeople and here you will have both an established product to sell and a unique brand-new "rock star" product to sell for which they perceive little or no competition due to its unique nature. This is a small company that has just been acquired by a large company, giving you "the best of both worlds" in terms of stability and working environment.


The following experience and attributes are essential for this role:

*Previous experience in selling B2B
*A minimum of 2 years of experience in selling software to companies and a good understanding of the software sector
*A track record of hitting your targets over several years and easily able to prove it!

Please note the above criteria are essential - you require all three of the above points to be eligible for this role.


This is a Sales Consultant role selling two GIS products (see above). Yes there is cold-calling: They need "hunters" not afraid to knock on doors, but there are also some incoming leads from marketing and trade shows. This is a highly consultative role, developing an understanding of clients' problems and how you will solve them. You will have excellent support from the considerable resources of the wider group, such as pre-sales, consultancy, software development and marketing.

Next steps career-wise from here are positions such as senior consultant or sales management, but due to the recent acquisition by a larger company, there are other opportunities in the wider group too, such as partner manager and account manager.

Logistics is an exciting area to be in at the moment with the advent of things like electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles and the fact that electronic mapping is changing the way the industry is working. These are all changes and changes create opportunities for salespeople!
